I'm doubling up and combine weeks 13 and 14.
Week 13: Quiet - This ceramic piece was created by my 17 year old in ceramics class winter trimester. I am absolutely in love with it and in awe over the detail and the thought put into this. The hubby actually thought it was something I bought at Hallmark! When I look at it I feel sense of peace and serenity...of quietness. Putting on my mom bragging hat, the teacher chose her as student of the week because of this piece noting that her level of creativeness and determination were commendable and that she was executing pieces that were well beyond what he would expect. Additionally that she was a good student, polite, not afraid to ask questions. It always nice to hear good things about your kids. :)
Week 14: Path – I took this photo at the Macy’s 8th Floor Auditorium Annual Flower Show, America the Beautiful. Different areas of the United States were highlighted with flowers from those regions in displays that depict the particular area. This area was from the ‘Enchanting Southeast’ (an area of the US that I am dying to visit – Georgia/South Carolina – by the way), the beautiful pink flower path lined by the lush green plants…it was kind of heaven on Earth!
