Class of 2020

Dear Class of 2020,

I'm sorry. I'm sorry this is your senior year right now. I'm sorry so many things will be left incomplete. I'm sorry that for so many there might feel like there's a big hole, something missing - like the cherry on top. I'm sorry for your mamas, too; they've thought about this time in your life since the day you were born.

But you know what? You WILL get through this. And as sad or difficult or incomplete as it is or may seem right now you WILL come out on the other side of this. I'm not saying you'll forget this but I am saying that one day you'll look back and probably laugh a little thinking 'Man, the last few months of my senior year were crazy!'. You'll likely always have that little tug of a feeling of getting ripped off but to quote one of my favorite sayings: There are far greater things ahead than any you leave behind. And I believe that for you. And I believe that these uncertain times will give you strength and resiliency and creativeness and a uniqueness that can never be replaced.

I am so incredibly grateful to all of you - you were a gift to me that I am certain you had no idea you were giving.

You are now, and always will be, in my heart.

Best of luck to each of you not only now but in the tremendous futures I KNOW you will all have! ❤
